Christine has spent much of her career shaping health policy at the national level in issue areas like health IT, patient and family-centered care, patient engagement, and quality measurement. She also co-founded the groundbreaking GetMyHealthData campaign, an initiative that documented what happened when consumers across the country used their HIPAA rights to demand their health records in electronic formats.
She was appointed by the GAO to serve as a consumer representative on the federal Health IT Policy Committee for six years, where she worked to ensure that today’s EHRs give patients the ability to view, download and transmit their own health information. Join us as we discuss ways to spur health care innovation by “unleashing” consumer demand for data.
