WIN Program Welcomes Two New Ventures

May. 9, 2018 | WIN

The Washington Innovation Network (WIN) Entrepreneur Mentoring Program is happy to announce the addition of two new ventures to our program this quarter. The following ventures were admitted as the 2018 Q2 cohort.

A.I. Analysis, Inc.–  We make software to help radiologists compare serial medical imaging studies. Our machine learning based software system analyzes serial imaging studies and generates a color change map that shows what has changed between then, where, and by how much. The system also generates spatial registration data, allowing a viewer application to spatially align the images from two studies. The Change Detector’s output is stored in the PACS and can be viewed in any third-party medical image viewer. We have published evidence that the Change Detector: reduces the time necessary to compare medical imaging studies, improves inter-observer agreement, and may help to detect disease related changes months earlier than is possible using manual inspection, alone.

TourniTek– The TourniTek, represents the first pre-hospital treatment for emergencies leading to amputation. Our patented device combines the preservative properties of cooling with the circulatory control of a traditional tourniquet. At Tournitek, we are working with an incredible team of researchers to bring this new technology to market, preventing amputations and saving limbs.

With the addition of these two new venture, the WIN Program has mentored 46 ventures. Our active ventures and alumni continue to grow and thrive, having raised more than $120M in funding. We thank our pool of 50 experienced volunteer mentors for their generous support, time and assistance. We couldn’t do it without them!

The WIN Mentoring Program gives promising early stage Washington Life Science and Global Health ventures world class advice and assistance through their most critical stages. In this milestone-focused program, entrepreneurs are matched with an all-star team of seasoned volunteer advisors.  Entrepreneurs receive professional advice from teams of professionals with deep and diverse expertise in commercialization and business execution.
